On successfully completing the course, students will have:

- a detailed knowledge of ISO 27001:2005 Information Security Requirements.

Requirements for auditing Information
Security Management systems.
The course uses a mixture of taught sessions,interactive group discussions, exercises,continuous assessment and examination toachieve its aims. The practical exercises are based upon a fictional company. However, the procedures, work instructions and data are typical and could relate to many different enterprises equally. The practical exercises have been carefully designed to focus upon issues that commonly arise during Information Security audits.
PRE-REQUISITES
Completion of secondary education.
An understanding of report writing is desirable.
A prior knowledge of the requirements of ISO27001 would be beneficial.
COURSE VENUE
Courses are held at various training centres but alternatively can be held at your premises and tailored for your particular needs. For tailored courses, the numbers will be dependent on facilities available.

-Similarities with OHSAS 18001, ISO14001 & ISO 9001
-Information Security Management Issues
including operational control
-Information Security Audit Skills
-Practical exercises and feedback.
Appraisal of delegates’ knowledge and performance will be made through a combination of continuous assessment and a written examination (multiple choice and short answers). A certificate of competence will be issued to delegates deemed to have achieved a satisfactory standard.
COURSE DURATION
This is a 5-day course, the times will be:
Day 1 07:30 - 19:00
Day 2 08:00 - 19:00
Day 3 08:00 - 19:00
Day 4 08:00 - 16:00
Day 5 08:00 - 16:00
There will be lunch breaks of one-hour midday. The detailed timings of lunch and coffee breaks will be announced by tutors and will be adjusted to local habits if possible.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The maximum number of delegates for this course is 20 and the minimum is 10.
